Axel Nordlander - Winner of individual and team eventing at the 1912 Summer Olympics, Stockholm, Sweden

Axel Nils August Nordlander was a Swedish officer and horse rider, who competed in the 1912 Summer Olympics (Stockholm, Sweden) and won the individual and team eventing competitions for Sweden. Axel Nordlander was also a successful military officer and reached the rank of Major. He was born on September 21, 1879, in Hagge bruk, Norrbarke, Sweden and died on April 30, 1962, in Helsingborg, Sweden.

In addition to his Olympic achievements, Axel Nordlander also had a distinguished military career. He served as a faltflygare (field pilot) and was awarded the Royal Order of the Seraphim (RSO). Axel Nordlander was also a ryttmastare (cavalry captain) at the Skanska husarregementet (Scania Hussar Regiment).

Overall, Axel Nordlander was a highly accomplished athlete and military officer who represented Sweden with distinction in both areas.
